Enter Woodland Spirits

Dream Team produced and installed works across the exhibition, including the multi-screen video installation by Emer Värk shown here — suspended displays, rigging and on-site assembly in a darkened hall.

The Secrets of the Leaning Building

Dream Team fabricated and installed the exhibition architecture — the built staircase structure and shaped railing — to the artists' design.

"We came in with a wonky paper maquette and a rough idea about what our piece should look like; Dream Team turned it into reality with everything that comes with it — sourcing the materials, working out the drawings, thinking through visitor safety, then building, installing, finishing and transporting the whole thing. Dream Team erected the exhibition's columns from reused building materials, to the curators' designs. The works were built on site at the museum — in collaboration with and guided by the curators — mixing joinery, space-building, more classical installation, and prototyping solutions on the fly.

Approach

How we work

The name is the method: for every project we put together a dream team — exactly the specialists the work needs, and no more. We are the people artists and curators call when a piece is harder to build than it is to imagine.

We translate an idea into materials, structures and methods that hold up — technically, on budget, and on time. We read drawings, solve the parts no one has solved yet, and stay on site until the work stands as it should. We work quietly, take responsibility for the whole, and treat every project as if our name is on it. Because it is.

What we bring
Small core
A tight specialist team — carpenters, fabricators, installers — who take responsibility for the whole.
Scaling up
If a project demands it, we bring in a larger crew of trusted partners to tackle projects of all sizes.
Room to be ambitious
The Dream Team name brings trust to the table, so artists take on more ambitious work. We carry the risk of a complex build, and help around it — covering every step of the process.

What we do

S01

Production & fabrication

Custom exhibition architecture, display furniture, vitrines and one-off objects — drawn, prototyped and built in our own workshop, in wood, metal and composite.

Installation & rigging

Mounting, hanging and rigging of complex and large-scale works on site, to museum and conservation standards.

S03

Technical & project management

Planning, budgeting, scheduling and on-site coordination from concept through to opening day — we take responsibility for the whole.

S04

Architectural structures

Production and assembly of pavilions and built structures for biennials and exhibitions, from technical drawings to standing form.

S05

Transport & logistics

Careful handling and transport of sensitive works between workshop, venue and storage; we bring in trusted partners for what is specialised.
